djmbc.com.au is fairly new and hasn't had much time to build trust. While it doesn't automatically mean the site is unsafe, newer domains are more commonly used for scams. Legitimate businesses can be new too, but they usually provide clear contact details and some online presence. It's a good idea to double-check reviews and avoid sharing sensitive information too quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is WebSafely?

A crowdsourced attempt to fight against scam websites. It's a simple platform that allows users to submit URLs that they suspect are scams and share them with others. We've built few feautres to help determine if a submitted URL is scam or not.

How does Scam Score Works?

All submitted URL automatically gets a scam score by our algorithm. Higher score means that URL is more likely to be a scam. This feature is currently in BETA so we don't advise users to have full faith in it.

How Scam Score is Calculated?

We've build an algorithm for calculating scam score. While revealing the reason behind a certain score is educational for real users but isn't the case for scammers as they can know exactly what to do to get better score. After feedback from community, we decided to share few key stats that are part of our algorithm. Check "About Stats" faq.

About Stats
We initially chose not to release any information on scam score calculation since we still believe scammers can use that knowledge to manipulate scores, but after receiving community feedback we agreed to share a few key stats that are part of the algorithm and cannot be readily manipulated by scammers.

  • We are now providing:
  • Domain Age
  • Popularity
  • Threat Detection (intel from various 3rd party sources)
  • IP Country
  • Domain Registrar

The rest of the stats, we believe, can be easily influenced by scammers, thus we will not be providing them at this time. These stats, while being small compared to what we collect, should give the community confidence that the scam score is not a random figure.

About Risk Level
We have currently divided scam score into 4 risk levels. The current range and their meaning is defined below. The ranges may change in future as we update our algorithm based on new scam trends.

High Risk : Above 70 : Strong scam indicators detected. Avoid using this site.
Suspicious : 50-70 : Significant Risk Factors Detected. Proceed with caution or avoid.
Uncertain : 30-50 : Limited data or mixed signals. Few Risk Factors detected. Be cautious if using.
Low Risk : Below 30 : No significant scam indicators found, Likely Safe.

How can you be sure if the submitted URL by others is a scam or spam?

We currently provide users 2 ways: Scam Score & Community Votes/Reviews. Automated scam score and Votes/Reviews by the community should be a good indicator.

How can you contribute?

Sharing scam URLs is the best way to contribute. We are also very open to suggestions and feedback (email: [email protected]).

Are you the owner of a website listed here?

If you'd like to challenge the scam score assigned, we're happy to take a closer look. You can write to us (email: [email protected]) with a proof of your business's legitimacy and your real name. We never charge website owners for reviews or reconsideration requests.

Privacy Policy?

We do not collect any PII from users. You don't need to signup for submitting URLs but If you want to vote and enter leaderboard, registeration is required. For registration, we do not require any email which also means if you forgot your password, you/we can't reset it unfortunately.
